Seriously one of the best childhood remakes to date, better than any sloppy joe I ever remember eating as a kid. Granted my experience is pretty limited, being either the mystery sauce ina can or that familiar ol packet of dust that cost $.23 and a can of tomato sauce. I never recognized the flavor being that of barbeque, but I guess that's it's closest relative. I don't remember loving it as a kid, but that's all changed. A meal that was cringeworthy yet somehow also nostalgic has been reimagined into something that is delicious and packed with veggies that the whole family will beg for seconds!
